Reading a candle
- The body spans the open and close price.
- The wicks (shadows) show the high and low.
- A candle that closes above its open is usually shown in green or white (bullish); one that closes below is red or black (bearish).
Candlestick patterns can describe what buyers and sellers did during a period, but no pattern predicts the future reliably on its own.
