How to use a demo account well
- Use a realistic balance: the amount you would actually deposit, not the default $10,000 or $100,000.
- Follow a written trading plan and keep a journal.
- Treat it seriously for several weeks before considering a live account.
Limitations
Demo accounts cannot reproduce the emotions of real money, and fills can be more favourable than on a live account.
